Our "Cenone"

About a year ago, Jacob's friend Greg called with an fabulous idea. He, Jacob, and another friend had all lived together in Italy over ten years ago and were all passionate about Italian food. His idea was combine forces for an evening of fine Italian cuisine. He divided up the menu and one cold, snowy night we headed up to their Park City home for an evening "indimenticabile" (unforgettable). The wives had only met a handful of times, but by the end of the night we were all laughing until we cried, and the only thing we were drinking was San Pelligrino (albeit in large quantities)! We were hooked and have repeated the evening several times since. Our last "cenone" (large dinner) was last Friday and I had to document it. We enjoyed no fewer than TEN delicious courses...I thought I'd share a few of the highlights (along with the recipes) over the next while.

CENONE MENU, PART ONE

First Appetizer: Crostini with Mushrooms, Prosciutto and Blue Cheese

Salad: Bibb and Arugula Salad with Pecorino Toscano
